When you think of August, you think of the heat. You also remember that August is like the Sunday of summer. These two things can make things a little tricky when deciding on an outfit. Dealing with the heat alone makes it hard to wear certain things. Being comfortable is a huge part of my outfit choices. Making it look like you put in a lot of effort, while still being comfortable, is the hard part. While August truly is the Sunday of summer, we also have to remember that autumn is on its way.
My style advice is to make the fashion transition from summer to autumn smooth. Many of us make the mistake of whipping out the riding boots, jeans and sweaters right away when school starts. This Fashionista rocks a perfect August color: golden yellow, while still being comfortable and dressing for the August heat. What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK?: When I chose this outfit, I wanted to make sure I wasn’t too hot and that I was comfortable. Those are the two biggest fashion obstacles that I have in the summertime. Fall is my favorite time of year, but since we aren’t there yet, I was able to wear fall colors that also allow me to be cool and comfortable. My plain colored accessories help make my outfit stand out and make my outfit come together.
