With only a few weeks left in the semester and summer on the horizon, who wouldn’t be in a good mood? The sunshine and flowers blooming around campus have put smiles on everyone’s faces. Wisconsin’s current mood: happy. The campus styles are certainly reflecting that happiness.
I spotted this Fashionista hanging around the Memorial Union Terrace one afternoon wearing the most cheerful pair of jeans. She wears light wash denim jeans that are patterned with small white hearts. On top, she wears a three-quarter sleeve sheer, navy blouse that has lace detailing in various places. On her feet, she sports tan suede booties. I fell instantly in love with the sweet simplicity of this stylish ensemble.
After seeing this chic outfit, I began noticing more and more patterned denim around campus. It appears that as people are cheering up in anticipation for summer, so is their denim! The addition of the pattern detailing on a pair of jeans can take an outfit from boring to charming. There is no limit to the pattern possibilities, either. Some may prefer a pair of jeans that is more bright and bold, like this pair from Anthropologie, while others would rather have a pair that is a bit more subdued, like these paint splash jeans from ASOS.
