It has been said that wearing white after Labor Day is a big N-O in the world of fashion. However, it is now becoming a huge trend to strut your favorite white wardrobe staples all year long! Although, it is now officially the fall season and we are just itching to bring out our scarves, boots and jackets, there are still those days where it feels a little more like a warm summer day. That being said, it is important to know how to transition some of your favorite summer pieces into the new season, especially on days like these.
When I spotted this Fashionista on campus, I knew her look was the perfect summer-to-fall transition look. Her flowing white lace dress, normally to be worn during the spring and summer seasons, is paired perfectly with a dark brown leather jacket to make it appropriate for fall. To tie the look together, she even added a pop of color with some adorable pink suede oxfords and a subtle necklace, how cute!
Oxfords and loafers are a huge trend this season and I love how she decided to mix things up a bit by wearing a pair in such a fun color. When wearing staple items featured in unique colors, patterns or silhouettes, it gives the overall look a little flair that makes it really stand out among the rest. This is something that I feel is a very important aspect when creating different outfits and looks.
What is your STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK? “Have fun and comfort in your fashion. It is important to not only look your best, but to feel your best as well. Also, don’t be afraid to add edgy accessories to a classy look for a stunning appearance.”
