STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Who Are You Wearing?

“I like girls that wear Abercrombie & Fitch. I’d take her if I had one wish, but she’s been gone since that summer.” As you most likely know, these are the lyrics of LFO—a band from the early 2000s. What a jam. These lyrics were time appropriate when the song first came out, but I bet it’s been a minute since many of you summer girls shopped at Abercrombie.

However, that skirt the Fashionista is rocking is from Abercrombie & Fitch. She was pleasantly surprised when she found it shopping and now makes sure to stop in when she goes to the mall. Who would have thought after handing down all those T-shirts with “Fitch” stitched across the chest, we would end up back here? After checking out their in-store and online options, I’ve added some items to my own cart.

This goes to show that you can find something you like anywhere. I am a big proponent of less worry about the brand and more worry about the look and quality of a garment. If you feel good, you will ultimately look good.

Upon first look, this outfit is a pretty classic choice. White T-shirts and denim go together as well as Angelina and Brad, this Fashionista adds details to her outfit that make it her own. First, she does that with her shoes. I’m back at it again with the adidas Originals in a post, but who can resist? The Superstars are a popular shoe and the reasons are clear why. Not only are they easy to keep clean, they can add an edge to your outfit.  Here they add a tomboy—feel to her flirty ensemble. The bralette worn under her T-shirt adds texture and personality to her classic piece.

Moving on down, the denim A-line skirt has the perfect amount of distress to it. It’s a comfortable skirt that has the best fringe. Lately, we’ve seen denim pants, dresses and jackets, but we haven’t seen denim skirts in a while. The skirt completes the look. The outfit and the Fashionista overall have that effortlessly cool girl vibe we all envy.
