STYLE ADVICE: Relax ‘n' Chill

As I mentioned in my Style Guru bio, I lean more towards “chill and comfortable” clothing, especially when I am at school running around trying to make it to class on time. I instantly spotted my next Fashionista while I was walking around campus.
What instantly attracted me to her was her adorable and fluffy beanie! Everyone loves a good beanie to pull together your winter outfit. It serves as a great accessory and can also help hide a bad hair day. I checked out the rest of her outfit, and her cardigan and infinity scarf really sold me on the look; both are shades of burgundy, and that is a perfect way to liven up any neutral outfit. As I was explaining to the Fashionista why I chose her, she 100 percent agreed with me on being comfortable at school. She said, “Sometimes I’m here from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. I don’t always want to sacrifice my comfort, so I choose cute statement pieces as my focal points and keep it casual from there.”
My Fashionista chose to start off with her cardigan has her main component of the outfit. Chunky knit sweaters are always an option when going to class during the winter months. They keep you warm without the discomfort of a bulky coat. From there she chose a wine-colored scarf as her statement piece, and she finished off her look with a pair of light-wash, high-waisted denim jeans. Denim has always been a good go to for school, and it is such a versatile article of clothing when it comes to dressing them up or down.
What we’ve learned from today’s Fashionista is, if you have to wake up for an 8 a.m. class in the future, don’t fret! Getting dressed in the morning doesn’t have to mean sweat pants, it very well could mean a good pair of jeans with a beanie and a chunky cardigan.
