The transition seasons, aka spring and fall, are my favorite to style because of how versatile outfits can be depending on the weather. For spring in southern California the weather ranges from kind of chilly to scorching hot. With the new season—wherever you are—it’s time to shed those heavy layers for lighter and softer fabrics. This means flowy trench coats, cute sundresses, and colorful accessories!
This Fashionista is wearing a floral navy top tucked into cropped denim pants. She finished off the look with various accessories including a choker necklace, a septum piercing, a crossbody bag, and yellow heeled sandals. Her look features the perfect combination of both minimal styles and bolder statement pieces.
Her outfit features various ideal transition pieces such as her top and pants. Her top still has long sleeves but is in a light material with a floral print. For the springtime, look for lighter fabrics like chiffon and linen and layer if necessary. As for her bottoms, cropped denim is both on trend and comfortable! She subtly shows off her yellow block-heeled sandals and brings some color to her springtime ensemble.
Need to layer up? Simply add on a light trench coat or cardigan on top of this look. If you’re bringing in the new season in a colder climate, switch the sandals for comfortable sneaker.
Don’t go out and purchase an entire new wardrobe for the new season! The seasons will pass sooner than you think so rethink what you already have and simply add a couple key transition pieces like this Fashionista.
