Hello there! My name is Hannah Li, a sophomore at the Pratt Institute majoring in Fashion Design. As someone who spends most of her time and energy on fashion, I am beyond excited to be a Fashionista and look forward to showcasing new looks and ideas with you.
I am from the sunny Southern California, and I love the laid back style of breezy sundresses and cool shades. Since moving to New York for college, my style has become a combination of the two coasts. I stay true to my Californian side with white lace, vintage florals and muted pastel colors, but I bring in new pieces like a black moto jacket, androgynous dress pants and some athletic clothes made chic that you would see on the streets of New York.
The outfit I’m wearing showcases this perfectly. I have on a white lace top from Zara and a pair of black georgette fitted pants. I paired it with my Birkenstocks Florida sandals, and my H&M bag to keep things simple. Since there weren’t any colors in my clothing, I created some more visual interest with my reflective bright sunglasses from Quay, and added my current favorite Free People necklace for a bohemian touch that echoes with the white lace.
As a Style Guru, I plan on taking my viewers on a fun and thrilling journey of the fashion in New York City, a place that has enlightened me on the meaning of fashion, how to express yourself through it and how to be fearless. So, come dear readers, let’s take a trip to Brooklyn and discover what the cool kids are wearing.
