Hey there, Fashionistas! My name is Abby Bordewick and I am a sophomore at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. I stumbled upon CollegeFashionista this summer and thought it would be the perfect outlet to share my passion for fashion. I am so excited to be a Style Guru and very intrigued by what my trendy classmates will bring to campus this fall!
Growing up in Minnesota taught me the importance of practicality when it comes to my wardrobe. The long and oh so frigid winters challenged me to find pieces that would keep me warm but also reflect my personal style. The four distinct seasons bring extremely varying weather, creating a need for clothing that can be worn throughout the year. The warm months fly by, and in no time my summer staples must be reinvented to fit the changing season. I love to throw on a pair of tights and add a patterned scarf to a dress in order to create a completely new look for fall. I am now taking a stab at life out west and although the weather is not quite as intense, I have found that my versatile closet keeps up with wherever life takes me!
My personal style does not fit neatly into one category; rather, it blurs lines between several looks. Solid color staples spiced up with a statement necklace or a bold pair of shoes are my go-tos. The bright pink dress I am wearing screams summer, and is an excellent item to break out after a long winter. The brown booties are a must-have, an indispensable addition to everything from skirts to boyfriend jeans.
Whether I am walking to class or strolling through downtown, I am constantly inspired by the striking style of others and I cannot wait to capture and share my fashionable finds this semester!
