Summer is finally here and I don’t know if I could be any more excited! Homework is done, the sun is shining and there are endless things to do outdoors. Summer is a great time to check out new fashion and enjoy time with your friends, and that is exactly what I intend on doing.
This summer I will be continuing my internship with CollegeFashionista while I also work full time at a research lab. I’m incredibly excited to have the best of both of my interests: fashion and science! Additionally, I am looking forward to visiting Beyoncé in concert and going on trips with my family and friends.
As for fashion, I’m beyond happy to start wearing my warm weather clothing again. While I would love to wear my bikini all summer long, I would say that my favorite summer fashion trend is the sundress. Sundresses make you look effortlessly put together and cute, and I love how easy they are to wear! When I put on a sundress I feel feminine and comfortable, and that is what makes it the perfect summer staple.
For my go-to summer look, I chose one of my favorite sundresses. The mock turtleneck neckline is on trend this season, and the soft cotton material is great for summer days because it keeps me cool when the sun is hot. I pair my dress with some faux suede nude flats to keep my look more casual.
To accessorize, I use one of my favorite statement necklaces, a gold and opal ring and bright red nail polish. The red polish contrasts with the soft green of my dress, giving my look more dimension. Lastly, to keep my eyes in the shade, I put on some gold aviators to finish off the outfit.
