Hello friends and fellow fashionistas/os! My name is Adriana and I am currently a sophomore studying Business Marketing and Journalism/Public Relations at California State University, Chico. I hope to one day be able to combine the knowledge I gain in Marketing and Journalism at Chico State with my fondness for fashion in order to land a career doing something exciting that marries the two!
For as long as I can recall, I’ve had a passion for fashion, and growing up, my parents always encouraged me to dress myself and choose whatever I wanted to wear that made me feel my very best. Whether I left my house wearing practically every article of clothing I owned at once or accessorized with a tutu and a fairy wand, I felt proud and confident because I styled myself. As time went on, putting certain pieces together to concoct the perfect outfit and attempting to stay up-to-date with trends became something I was more and more infatuated with.
This past summer I spent quite some time adventuring through different parts of California, the wondrous state I’m lucky enough to call my home. Growing up on the West Coast has definitely had an impact on my personal style, which I would describe as effortless and simple. California style is typically associated with being laid back and casual and my wardrobe is full of flowy, comfortable and versatile pieces that I can’t get enough of. My day-to-day “uniform” typically consists of some sort of denim bottom and a slouchy tee, along with understated jewelry and comfortable kicks such as Vans or my beloved Birkenstocks. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with off-the-shoulder tops and neckerchiefs, which offer just the right pop of color to spice up an average look.
When I’m not studying, running around campus or obsessing over the latest in style, you can find me spending the majority of my time with people that make me laugh until I cry, listening to my carefully curated Spotify playlists or binge-watching various HBO shows until I can’t keep my eyes open any longer.
I am so pumped to be kicking off this fall semester as a Style Guru and I hope that you continue to read my ramblings and follow me on this RAD little journey!
