Hello fellow Style Gurus and all Fashionistas/os out there! My name is Aimee Richter and I am so excited to be a Style Guru this fall! I am currently a sophomore at San Francisco State University and majoring in Business Administration Management. I thoroughly enjoy living in a city like San Francisco because there is always places to go, things to see and shopping to do. The diversity of this amazing city is constantly inspiring me to try new things and step outside of my comfort zone when it comes to style, food and adventure.
Fashion has been a strong interest of mine for as long as I can remember. At a very young age I was already trying to help my mother choose what to wear before she went to work in the morning, constantly bugging her to change one thing or another (but hey, at least she got a fashionable daughter out of it). Since then, styling has been my favorite part of fashion because I love being able to create something that will stand out and catch attention. My dream job is to become a creative director of a magazine, where I can have the ability to take full control of an idea and make it come to life through the art of style and photography.
One of my favorite trends this fall is anything that has a western look to it. If it has fringe, suede or leather I have to have it. This trend has been easy to incorporate into my wardrobe because of my mother’s style, which has always been western-based. My black suede skirt and leather concho belt are both vintage treasures I have recently found in her closet (way to go mom!). I paired these pieces with a sleeveless turtleneck top, denim jacket and my favorite pair of black booties to complete the look. To accessorize, I added bracelets, rings and a black cross-body bag. This outfit is casual enough to get away wearing it to class, but also dressy enough to be worn for a night out.
You will see as time goes on, and more articles are posted, that my wardrobe has no specific style. I love to experiment with many different pieces. With that being said, I hope my blog will relate to your own personal taste in some way or another.
Hope to see you around!
