Hey people, my name is Alayna Bechtel and I am so excited to embark on this RAD adventure with CollegeFashionista and you!
I am currently a sophomore at Kent State University in Ohio and am majoring in fashion merchandising with a minor in marketing and textiles. I am from Stow, Ohio which is just a city away from Kent and is what lead me to hearing about Kent State University’s fashion program at a very young age. I knew I was interested in applying to Kent State University once I realized how passionate I truly am about this industry.
I can’t say I have a distinct style because I have a love and respect for all fashion and mix mine up constantly. Fashion is such an amazing way to express yourself and show your personality! If I had to chose a style to define me I would most likely say it is bohemian mixed with a little street fashion. I love to go thrifting at the local thrift store and am always shopping on a budget. I would have to say that I probably spend most of my money on shoes because you can never have too many and there are so many different styles and colors.
My sandals wrap up around my ankle, which is a very popular trend this season, and are from Charlotte Russe. My choker is from Earth Bound; this store is amazing if you love handmade treasures and a very earthy bohemian look. My top is from Forever 21 and goes great with almost anything because of its simplicity. The jean skirt is also from Forever 21 and was a great find! Ladies, jean skirts are totally in and making their way up on the trending list so be sure to go out and get one soon. They go with absolutely anything and you can dress them up or down! To top off the look, I accessorized my outfit with my favorite pair of reflective sunglasses from a local boutique and silver rings.
