Hello Fashionistas! My name is Aleah Summerville. I am a friendly New Yorker and a college freshman studying Business Administration. I am so ecstatic to be writing for the CollegeFashionista program. I have such a passion for fashion, beauty and DIYs. I find it so fascinating how styles and trends are always evolving and changing. It also amazes me when I discover DIYs related to skin and hair care by using natural remedies.
One of my bible verses that I go by is “clothe yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience” – Colossians 3:12. I love this quote because it represents how you should you present yourself, not just on the outside but on the inside. Dress yourself with kindness and care. Dress yourself to inspire and motivate the people around you.
I call this look sheer and shameless, representing the idea of disregarding the judgments and negative opinions of others; to be shameless. My black embroidered jeans and duster coat were both purchased at a thrift store. For my top pieces, I am rocking a bralette paired with a sheer mesh turtleneck. For some extra magic, I popped on some black high-heeled ankle boots to finish off the look.
