Hey there, Fashionistas/os! My name is Aleixka Macfie, and I am a junior at James Madison University. I am majoring in the School of Media Arts and Design with a concentration in journalism and minors in Spanish and studio art. I hope to one day pursue a career in the magazine industry (*cough cough* Cosmopolitan). I am so thrilled to be back for yet another semester as a Style Guru; always a #RAD opportunity!
But, let’s cut to the chase here—my look. If you read some of my previous posts, you know that my style is kind of all over the place. Whatever I like, I buy. The minimal and natural look is always my got-to and neutral colors are what make up most of my closet.
With style inspiration from the one and only Kim K, I paired an olive midi dress with nude wedges. My hair and makeup were the only accessories, which works perfect for just about any occasion. Add statement earnings and a bold lip if you’re looking for more of a night time look.
To get my beauty look, I used COVERGIRL’s Clean Collection liquid foundation and powder for normal skin, my favorite Baked Blush from e.l.f. to highlight my cheekbones, COVERGIRL’s Full Lash Bloom Mascara and the NAKED palette from Urban Decay to finish off my eyes. For my hair, I went with a pulled back and low bun.
