Hello there, Fashionistas/os. My name is Alessa and I am a communications major at the University of South Florida! This is my second semester with CollegeFashionista! CollegeFashionista has given me great insight on other peoples style and what is trending in other parts of our country. I plan on using my experience with this internship to help hone my social media and writing skills for my future career in the fashion industry.
I wanted to start this bio out with the above RAD quote because it is one of my favorites. Rachel Zoe did a fabulous job describing what fashion is. Style is a form of expression and art. For me, fashion is a creative outlet that that helps represent who I am. My own personal style fluctuates depending on the season or what is trending. I don’t think I could define my own personal style in just one category. I believe my style is pretty versatile. It is important to be comfortable in what you are wearing and to not be afraid to take fashion risks! Sometimes those fashion risks turn out to be some of the best outfits!
I am so excited for this fall semester with CollegeFashionista because fall fashion is my favorite. I can’t wait to break out the beanies and scarves. Some of my favorite looks for the season will have to incorporate some great deep colors such as plums, oranges, and of course, neutrals. I am looking forward to seeing the different looks from other Style Gurus and their models!
For this initial entry, I wanted to showcase my black brimmed hat. I tend to wear this pretty often and it is one of my favorite staple items in my wardrobe. I paired my hat with a simple pair of black high-waisted jeans and a cropped tank. As for accessories, I wore a simple long gold chain necklace and stacked three gold bracelets to match.
I am looking forward to a fashionable semester and meeting new people with the same passion as myself.
