Alex Cove here and I’m beyond excited to start my second semester as a Style Guru. Coming at you from Temple University in the beautiful city of Philadelphia, I can’t wait to provide some rad articles that show off what we Philly Phanatics are made of! Along with interning as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista I will also be interning for a trendy, travel blog and a media relations firm that specializes in fashion and lifestyle. I may be pursuing public relations but I’ll never stop working with fashion.
To me, there’s nothing more comforting than throwing on neutral colors—you’ll rarely find me in anything else. To ensure that I don’t look boring, I love mixing textures and patterns or creating a completely monochromatic head to toe look. I’ve recently acquired a love for shoes and handbags that I thought was never going to come. Due to this, my go-to outfit is minimal styled tops and bottoms paired with funky boots and a rad satchel. I can never walk out the door without putting on my favorite watch, a bracelet and a couple rings; I love mixing metals so all of them are either gold or silver.
I have a feeling this is going to be a great year! With so much growth and change to come, I want to remind you all and myself that fashion is an expression of who we are on the inside while adding things to the outside. Never forget that you can’t help being your totally RAD self so believe in you and others will too.
