Man, time really does fly! I can hardly believe I’m writing my third STYLE GURU BIO; it felt like just yesterday I was working on my first. A lot has happened in the last year though, I now have to do a lot more “adulting” and I don’t know if I like that. I grew up in a little town in north-eastern Pennsylvania called Catawissa without a care in the world. Now I’m in the constantly buzzing, beautiful city of Philadelphia where everywhere I turn, there’s a new door to open. Luckily for me, being a Style Guru is something I’ve become so used to; I’m so fortunate to have one thing remain the same while everything else is flying by right before my eyes!
When I first became a Style Guru, I never strayed away from neutral hues like earth tones, black and white. I can proudly say that I’ve found my way out of that rut and I now wear color! I found a job that requires me to wear black and white every shift and I think that made me crave wearing color when I wasn’t working, I couldn’t stand dressing so monotonously. I’ve also grown into the ever famous “shoe/handbag addiction” of womanhood. I’m constantly looking for new ways to grow my collection rather than actually buying because I need them. I didn’t think it was going to happen but nevertheless, my mom proved me wrong, she’s been dreading this day!
“Adulting” sucks, but writing for CollegeFashionista makes me feel like a little kid playing with a new toy. Letting my creative juices flow when it comes to all things fashion is so much fun for me and I’m excited to start another semester of articles. Cheers to a rad summer!
