Hello CollegeFashionista! My name is Alexa Gould and I am entering my sophomore year at the University of Delaware where I am majoring in Fashion Merchandising. I am beyond excited to be a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista this fall!
Fashion is such a huge part of my life. I could not imagine being in any other field. From the time I was a little girl, I ALWAYS loved to shop and still do! Most of my weekends usually involved being at the mall, going to New York City or shopping at the local boutiques in my town.
This summer, I loved to throw on a loose, flowy tank dress with a pair of sandals and call it a day. I believe it is the most comfortable, easiest item to wear, while still being trendy.
Today, I have on my favorite dress that I purchased this summer. I recently noticed while shopping that tie-dye is coming back into trend. I have always loved tie-dye, so I am thrilled to see it again. The shape and print of the dress gives it a boho feel which is why I fell in love with it the second I saw it.
To enhance the boho vibe of the dress, I paired the dress with my favorite pair of gladiator sandals and this woven hat. I like this hat because the brim is a little bit wider than a fedora, but not as wide as a floppy hat. It is a cross between the two.
For my accessories, I am wearing Broken Gypsy beaded bracelets and a Henri Bendel bangle. I like to keep my accessories simple since it’s incredibly hot during the summer.
I cannot wait to embark on this experience as a Style Guru this semester and look forward to sharing my style with fellow Fashionistas/os!
