Hi again! I am ecstatic to be back this summer to work with CollegeFashionista for another fashion-forward semester. This internship has been an incredible experience, allowing me to pursue my passions of writing, photography and fashion. I have had a lot of fun and learned so much about journalism, fashion and myself from this internship. I can’t wait to see what this summer has in store!
I am currently a senior at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, completing my degree in Journalism and Professional Writing, as well as a minor in Art History. Taking a break from writing papers and studying for tests, this summer my focus is on friends, fashion and fun.
This is my fifth semester as a Style Guru and I could not be more excited to see what Fashionistas and Fashionistos are wearing this season. While my go-to summer wardrobe is a sundress in a bold color or pattern, I am looking forward to seeing how others sport their summer style. This summer, I am excited to experiment with jumpsuits, sheer fabrics, feathers and fringe. I also love the high-waisted bikinis, floral kimonos and polka-dot prints that are trending this season. Taking these runway trends and incorporating them into my wardrobe to create my own personal style is something that I have always loved to do and I am thrilled to be able to share my passion through writing and photography.
While I plan on battling the summer heat in gladiator sandals and high-waisted shorts, it will be fun to see how my fellow Fashionistas and Fashionistos incorporate new trends with classic summer staples that reflect their personal styles. With rising temperatures and fashion-forward trends, this summer is sure to be a hot one.
