Hello! My name is Alexis Satterfield and I am a junior Accounting major at Saint Vincent College. One of my favorite things about living in Pennsylvania is that I get to experience all the seasons. This means I am constantly changing my wardrobe as the weather goes from sunshine to windy nights, then to a winter wonderland, then to lots of rain and then right back to sunshine. One of my favorite words in the whole wide world is sale! I am a complete bargain shopper, thanks to my mom. I love searching for sales and getting great bargains. What is better than getting the cutest skirt ever for the party you are heading to over the weekend? Getting that skirt on sale, of course!
Just like my eating habits, I am not picky when it comes to my fashion choices. I will try anything once. My number one weakness is purses, especially simple tote bags from Forever 21. They are multi-functional in the sense that they are fashionable, affordable and conveniently hold everything I need for class! When it comes to my style, it is really undefinable. I feel most comfortable in clothing with a bit of a bohemian feel and I like to mix those with classy and simple pieces. I love mixing casual pieces, like a denim button-down, with dressier pieces, like pearls and a fun mini skirt, to give my outfit a more flirty and fun look. When it comes to my wardrobe, my favorite part is my constantly growing necklace collection. One of my favorite parts of my day is picking out the perfect necklace to bring my outfit together and get me ready to start my day. Depending on the outfit, I love a great statement necklace, or sometimes just something simple, that can catch someone’s eye. Then I throw on my Alex and Ani bracelets and I am out the door!
All in all, fashion has always been my comfort zone and the one thing that I will never let anyone tell me how to handle. I believe that everyone has a unique style and I am excited to write for CollegeFashionista this semester and shine light on some of the wonderful and unique fashions that walk the paths at Saint Vincent College.
