Hello readers and fellow Style Gurus! My name is Ali, and I’m now a sophomore at the University of Tennessee Knoxville, double majoring in special education and Spanish (because sadly we don’t have a fashion major here). I’m so excited to be on board as a Style Guru again for the fall semester. Combining two of my favorite things—fashion and photography—is amazing, and I’m so glad I have the opportunity to do just that.
As you can most likely tell by my articles, my taste in clothes ranges across a broad spectrum of styles. Fashion is so unique because it is what you want it to be and you can make it so that it perfectly expresses your personality, if you please. However, of course, if you’re lacking inspiration and don’t know what to wear, you always can flip through magazines or find ideas from your best friends or girls walking around on campus. This internship is great for capturing the different styles here in Knoxville and being able to bring them right to your computer screen—even if you’re 1,000 miles away. My style ranges from boho/indie to grunge to Lily Pulitzer, and that is my favorite thing about fashion and styles. There is no formula, and you can be yourself. As Cady Heron would say, the limit does not exist (in math, or in fashion).
For this look, I decided to put on this dress with various prints and my favorite wedges to go with it. It is good to wear monochrome wedges so you can keep the focus on the pattern of the dress and have a more free-flowing yet stylish look with the three quarter sleeves. Jewelry is always a good addition to any outfit if you want a little extra detail.
Thanks for taking the time to read my article to get to know more about me, and I hope you continue to read my articles during my fifth semester on board here to find inspiration for your own wardrobe! Stay rad!
