Well hello there, my fellow Fashionistas/os! My name is Alissa Wisniewski and I could not be more excited to come on board as a Style Guru this fall. I’m currently a sophomore at Indiana University where I’m pursuing Marketing with a minor in Apparel Merchandising. I am so looking forward to discovering the fashions of fall and sharing what I discover with all of you!
I’ve always had a love for fashion. There’s no question about it. I’ve been picking out my own outfits ever since I could walk and talk. Fashion is inspiring, empowering and dynamic. It is a way of illustrating your personality, your emotions and everything in-between. There are a lot of rules in life, but when it comes to fashion, that is one creative outlet that allows you to determine the nature of the game.
People always ask, “What’s your style?” and to be honest, I don’t have a specific style. I believe that if I wake up one morning and want to rock a preppy dress, high heels and pink lipstick, then I will. The next morning I might wake up and want to throw on some ripped jeans, a rugged, thrifted crop top and combat boots. That’s cool too, because the best part about fashion is that it’s ever-changing. It’s whatever you want it to be.
Today’s look includes cuffed denim jeans, a floral off-the-shoulder top and some peep-toe booties. I kept the accessories simple with a stone necklace and bracelet, as well as a nude colored purse. This is the perfect kind of outfit for the transition from summer to fall.
So come on now people, let’s not pretend we’re not excited to get back to school and break out all the cool new pieces we’ve collected throughout the summer. What’s the fun in coming back if we can’t strut to class in our new killer outfits? After all, our campus truly is our runway.
