Hi, I’m Allie, and I’m a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I am majoring in journalism with a double emphasis in visual journalism and writing and editing. I am also minoring in studio art and radio/TV/film. Whether it be for fun, for work or for class, I spend the majority of my time behind the camera. In those rare instances when I am not behind the camera, however, I enjoy spending my time outside hiking, reading, listening to music or watching movies. I am an avid Harry Potter and Star Wars fan and I re-watch each film series more often than I care to admit.
I must confess that I generally dress for comfort first and style second. I love finding new ways to combine the two. It is pretty rare to find me wearing jeans to class or work. I generally opt for any of my more comfortable choices instead: leggings, jeggings or joggers. Pair any of those with a big comfy sweater and a cute beanie, add a sharp wing with my favorite liquid eyeliner, and I’m ready to go.
Aside from the beanie, there are a few very important things I can’t imagine walking out the front door without. These include my camera, my laptop, my favorite pair of earbuds, a hot cup of coffee and, most importantly, my planner. From a schedule to a to-do list, I am more than a little obsessive when it comes to planning out my days. But, I’ve learned to consider that a good thing because it keeps me on track.
