My name is Allison Coriale and I’m about to enter my junior year at High Point University. I’m a communication major hoping to work in public relations. I have always been interested in the fashion industry and I am so excited to be joining the Style Guru team! I grew up in Maryland about five minutes from the D.C. boarder and I have always loved the fast-paced energy of the city. Spending time in D.C. and being exposed to so many different styles from around the world has definitely heightened my appreciation for fashion and how it can be used to express so many aspects of a person’s life. I think what a person wears can tell a lot about who they are and what they are passionate about.
My personal style is constantly evolving but I always find myself gravitating back towards boho chic pieces. I like to mix in fun bold colors, prints and whatever trends I’m loving at the moment. I love the print of the dress I am wearing here and the small side cutout details. Since the dress is so colorful, I paired it with simple white wedges. The beach has always been a happy place for me. I’ve found that no matter where I am, this effects my style as I am always looking for comfortable and flowing styles influenced by nature.
I will be spending my summer on Martha’s Vineyard, a small island off of Massachusetts. People from all over the country visit the island in the summer so there is a lot of diverse summer styles to see here. I can’t wait to go out and find some great looks and trends to share with you all.
