My name is Allison, but you can call me Al or Alli! This is my second semester having the great opportunity to intern as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista, and I can’t wait to see what this semester brings. I am a freshman at Bay State College going for my bachelors in fashion merchandising. My dream job is to become a buyer, although, since living in the city of Boston, I have been exposed to so many more job opportunities within the fashion industry that I am so excited to learn more about.
I am from a small town in western Massachusetts, which is about two hours from my school. Although it is not super far away, being in the city has taught me so much more about the fashion industry and opened my eyes to new looks and styles. I have met so many great people who have had an influence on my style.
After living in the city for a semester, I have learned to put away the Netflix and go outside and explore the wonderful place that I live. Some of my favorite things to do in the city are to shop on Newbury street or go for a walk and look at the window displays, running or playing tennis in the park, and going places I’ve never been. You can usually find me in a coffee shop, and even if i’m not in one I’m probably still drinking coffee!
In this outfit, I am wearing a red dress from Forever 21, a suede blazer from Zara, which is my favorite store, and over-the-knee boots from Primark. This outfit is super affordable but makes you look very put together! I am looking forward to an awesome semester with all of the Style Gurus across the globe!
