Hello fellow Fashionistas/os, my name is Alyssa Evans! I am currently a sophomore from New Jersey studying communications at St. John’s University in New York City. My style has evolved from high school and I am still learning and discovering new styles everyday. I am definitely in between the “girly” and “sporty” sides. I love streetwear, but would not mind throwing on a dress and heels for a special occasion!
Living in the city has exposed me to different forms of fashion, resulting in me being more experimental with what I wear. I have learned that I could never be overdressed in any situation!
Fashion is not only about the clothing you wear, but also about the shoes you rock! I have a love for sneakers. I own tons of different staple fashion sneakers from Yeezy, shown in my pictures above; to the velvet grey Fenty Pumas; finishing off with the classic Stan Smiths. I love pairing very simple outfits with bright, statement shoes. Many times I will find myself choosing my outfit based off of the sneakers I choose to wear for that day.
I have a very simple, minimalistic style. My closet is filled with olive green, gray, black, and blush pink. I love neutral shades because it is easy to mix and match, creating thousands of looks! I also enjoy the streetwear aesthetic: so you can definitely see me going to class in my outfit above! I think it is very important to have a pair of ripped jeans in your closet to add some texture to a simple outfit. I paired this pair with another staple piece in my closet, a turtleneck and a trench coat. A trench coat can dress up any outfit you wear. You can style it with a dress and heels or jeans and sneakers. It adds a bit of sophistication to the overall outfit!
