Hey everyone! My name is Amber Carlson and I am approaching my junior year at the University of Wisconsin Madison. I am a business student with my eyes on a career in fashion. I am so excited to be starting my second semester interning with CollegeFashionista as a Style Guru. Last spring I had so much fun going around campus and finding all of the amazing Fashionista/os that Madison has to offer! My first experience with the CollegeFashionista team was so fun and rewarding, I can only imagine how fantastic it will be the second time around.
Although summer is definitely my favorite time of year I am ready to jump back into fall fashion this semester. Jeans and boots are my absolute favorite things to wear. Add some oversized, comfy T-shirts and chunky scarves and it’s my own personal style heaven. A few trends I can’t wait to see around the streets of campus this fall are fun suede pieces and ‘70s style flare jeans.
Fashion may be one of the most important things in my life but being back on campus this fall comes with many exciting things. Of course the most exciting event of the fall is returning to Camp Randall decked out in as much red and white as possible for badger game days. Other things I enjoy about fall in Madison is roaming around State Street finding fun new places to eat and venturing out to the weekly farmers market.
So as I mentioned, fall clothing styles are among my favorite things in the world. I recently purchased an adorable J.Crew vest and cannot wait to create multiple simple and cozy looks with it. I have also been expanding my collection of oversized tops, which are the perfect fall staples. Currently I’m on the lookout for some fabulous fall booties that can be a season staple in my wardrobe.
