Hey Fashionistas! My name is Amber Sudra and I’m currently a freshman at the University of California Santa Cruz—yay banana slugs! I was born in London but raised in sunny Los Angeles. My proposed major is in art or art history/visual culture. Everything about the community here at Santa Cruz is artistic and I can’t wait to capture and document UCSC’s unique campus style. This is my first time blogging for CollegeFashionista and I couldn’t be more excited! I’ve been a fan of CollegeFashionista since my freshman year of high school and have been determined to become a Style Guru ever since.
When it comes to my personal style I lean towards minimal, feminine, and detailed looks. My go-to outfit would be a pair of vintage Levis and a gray turtleneck, paired with black high-top Converse. It’s pretty simple. I’d embellish this look with lots of detail and possibly a pop of color… this may come in the form of a bold makeup choice (mermaid colored eyeshadow anyone?), a western belt, shimmery socks or loads of silver rings. With a monochromatic and minimalist outfit base, the accessory options are endless (and so much fun).
When I’m not submerged in the world of Pinterest or online shopping (Zara and ASOS are my greatest weaknesses), you’ll most likely find me out and about with my favorite accessory: the camera. Everything about photography intrigues me; from finding beautiful locations to capture the perfect shot, to the therapeutic process of editing all day.
Besides fashion and photography some of my current favorites are turtlenecks, mustard color anything, Glossier, the HBO show Insecure, top knots and Childish Gambino’s new album “Awaken, My Love”.
