Hello there Fashionistas/os! My name is Andrea Barriga, and I am sophomore at Northeastern University. I am majoring in International Affairs with a minor in Communications. I am so excited to be interning for CollegeFashionista for the first time!
I have always been very passionate about photography and exploring new areas of a city, so when I was given this amazing chance to merge two of my favorite things with fashion, I jumped at the chance to do it. I was a late bloomer when it came to my passion for fashion, to be honest. I started enjoying it at the end of my senior year of high school. Since I wore a school uniform, I never had the chance to fully express myself and explore the fashion world prior.
However, after I completed my first semester of college abroad in London, my passion for new patterns and fashion in general grew exponentially. I realized how there so many ways to combine patterns and wear different contrasting colors while still looking good. I also learned the magic of layering and accessories. I love how a necklace or scarf can transform an outfit. In general, I would say my style is business casual, but my personal favorite outfit is a plaid scarf with a sweater, jacket and necklace. It really gives it a complete look for my everyday routine.
I am more than ecstatic to be writing every Tuesday, to grow as a photographer and to explore the campus in search of amazing and unique outfits! Stay tuned!
