Hi guys! My name is Andrea Padilla and I’m so excited to be part of the CollegeFashionista family. This is my first semester as a Style Guru. I’m studying Marketing and Publicity in Francisco Gavidia University. It’s really amazing to see how many styles you can find at your own campus, I’ve never been aware of that since I realized that style can come in many shapes and figures and everyone has their own sense of style.
I’ve always considered that I’m a very communicative person; I really like to express myself in many different ways and what better way to express myself than in a way that I don’t really need to say any words. You can know a lot about someone by just looking at the way they’re dressed, we can learn thing such as their culture or even religion. It’s really amazing that we can know all those things by just a simple glimpse.
To me, clothing has always been essential. Through an outfit you can express much more than you think. It’s your presentation card to this world, so be sure to make a great first impression.
I feel that I have many style inspirations; the styles that I like the most are preppy and boho. My must-haves I would definitely have to say are boyfriend jeans, they are amazing to walk around campus all day and also they are super comfortable, and practical (not to mention basic). You can dress them up and down by just wearing a different pair of shoes. Speaking of dressing up and down easily, I have to mention another must-have: statement necklaces. They are perfect to wear if you don’t want to put much effort on your outfit. You could be wearing a basic white shirt, a simple pair of jeans and sneakers, but if you add a statement necklace it changes the whole outfit easily.
