Hello there, Fashionista/os! My name is Andres Felipe Pelaez and I am a fashion designer student at Colegiatura Colombiana. I’m in my second semester and I am thrilled to begin my new semester as a Style Guru for CollegeFashionista.
My love for fashion grows every day. It is safe to say that I have loved fashion from an early age, but it was never a reality. Since I was five, every time someone would ask me what I wanted to be when I grow up I said, “I want to be a doctor.” However in future years I realized that fashion was the world that I wanted to be part of. I remember my first fashion show like it was yesterday; it was in 2012 and I was only 15 years old. I was unapologetically freaking out that day. When I came out of the fashion show, I decided that one day I would be standing there on the runway with my own creations. Thus, I decided to study fashion design. I lived vicariously through the stylish people I read about in Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and vowed that someday I would be just like them.
Every day, I wake up thinking about what to wear to school. Today, I decided to go for a spring look. I am wearing a faded T-shirt, a blue chambray shirt, white sneakers, a normal pair of blue jeans and a Chanel backpack. For fashion, I only have one rule, and that is to have fun and express myself every time that I dress up.
