Hey everyone! My name is Angela Durant. I’m a second year fashion arts student at Humber College located in Toronto, Canada. I’ve loved fashion since I was a little girl when my mom bought me a book where you could trace and cut out little clothing pieces. I couldn’t put it down. Ever since then, I have been chasing my dreams of becoming a fashion stylist and traveling the world.
This lead me to Humber College. I started a project this year which entailed writing a fashion blog, which is something I didn’t think I’d like but somehow ended up loving. This really allowed me to express my personal style. I love keeping things simple and casual throughout every season. This leads to the addition of a lot of neutral shirts and very comfy jeans/jeggings into my wardrobe. I’ve recently realized that I have both a shoe and coat problem, meaning I own WAY too many of each. But I mean, you can never have enough right?
For this summer look, I wanted to keep it nice for both going out and going on a walk somewhere in town. I fell in love with this striped double slit tank top when I saw it in stores. With the fabric being softer than any other shirt I had, I knew it would be a great addition to my summer wardrobe. It adds the perfect effortless chic look to the outfit with the slits on both sides. This year I’ve been loving the casual look of Vans shoes and find them to be a great shoe to throw on before you leave the house; they go with just about anything!
To accessorize this look, I went for a charm necklace that I wear almost every day. I love being able to customize it with my mood each day; today just happened to be a camera, coincidence? I think not. Add some simple rings and the look is complete and easy to pair with any black jacket you have lying around.
