Hey Style Gurus and Fashionistas/os! I am so excited to be working with College Fashionista this semester! This will be my second semester writing for College Fashionista and I can’t wait to connect with all of you!
Let me introduce myself, I love online shopping (too much), breakfast food, ice cream in waffle cones and urban bee-keeping!
I currently live in Cleveland Ohio and study fashion design and merchandising at Kent State University. I love living in Cleveland because it is such a growing and diverse community. There are always new stores, restaurants and events popping up around the city. It’s a great place for creative people to connect. I think living in Cleveland has really influenced my personal style. I love the changing seasons and dressing for the sometimes unbearable Cleveland weather. Theres also a lot of great vintage clothing stores in the area. I try to incorporate vintage pieces into my outfits often.
Cleveland has always been a part of my life and so has fashion. I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t obsessed with everything about fashion. Whether it was wobbling down the high heel isle, or tearing out pages in the library’s copies of Vogue, I’ve always been in love with dressing up. To me fashion is great because it is so unique to each person. I love that you can create outfits that really match your personality. I am so happy that I am able to study fashion design and merchandising.
This outfit is one of my favorites for that transitional period between summer and fall. It is so easy to throw on just one piece in the morning when you’re already running late to your first week of classes. I accessorized it with a simple brass cuff and a cool cross body bag to carry my planner, pencils, and phone while going from class to class.
I am eager to meet all of you and I can’t wait to learn more over this next semester with CollegeFashionista!
