Hey, everyone! I’m Ann Marie! This will be my third semester as a Style Guru, and my second semester as a Social Media Society member and Head Style Guru for Kent State University. I am so happy that I decided to join CollegeFashionista just a few semesters ago. In that time, I have been presented so many opportunities because of my involvement with this website. I was featured on MTV Style, I’m Head Style Guru on a campus of over 70 girls, and just last week, Who What Wear sent me free clothes in the mail! I’m just excited to see what this next semester holds (hopefully, more clothes in the mail). CollegeFashionista has been such a great learning experience for me. I am honored to be a part of this community for another semester and thrilled to meet all of you! When I’m not writing for CollegeFashionista, you can find me busily writing for my personal blog, serving breakfast food, or working on the next project.
My personal style is definitely relaxed and simple. I never want to be overdressed, so I tend to buy classic pieces and add a pattern or texture here and there. I am always drawn to muted tones, but boy am I a sucker for a pop of yellow. Today I was out running new year errands, so I kept it comfortable. I paired my favorite ankle booties with a shearling moto jacket, a staple piece in my closet. I gave this look some interest by wearing a patterned, chiffon top in my favorite color, yellow! I always carry my little polaroid camera with me to capture moments wherever I go. I just got this white carrying case for it, but I added the bandana to give it my own personal flare.
