Hello! I’m Annie. I’m a small town Iowan, currently exploring suburban Chicago as I attend school at Trinity Christian College. Majoring in marketing and design, it’s ordinary to find me in my dorm, crafting anything from home décor to my next favorite fashion accessory.
I often find myself itching to go rummaging at thrift stores, flea markets and auctions. I love finding old items and giving them new life. Along with thrifting, I love paging through old cookbooks, cuddling in my heated blanket watching Netflix, and attempting to grow plants in my room.
My interest in marketing sparked when taking an introductory marketing class. I am a person who loves a balance of creativity and organization. As I took this class, I discovered that marketing has the order and structure I appreciate, yet allows for creativity within the business world.
More recently, I have used my creative and organizational skills within my co-owned lifestyle blog, Suite 214. Along with my partner, we use this blog to share some of our favorite recipes, do-it-yourself fashion accessories and simple homemade decor accents.
Because I’m an Iowa girl at heart and currently a city-dweller, my style seems to fluctuate between outdoorsy and cozy to quite chic and flirty. Nonetheless, 70 percent of the time, you can find me wearing some type of flannel. My favorite accessories are rings, which my jewelry box can attest to. Most of my clothes come from Forever 21, American Eagle Outfitters and thrift shops.
I’m excited to begin my journey at as a Style Guru at CollegeFashionista!
