Hi there Fashionistas/os! My name is Arianne Sanchez but I go by Ari. I’m currently starting my freshman year of college at Suffolk University and I’m majoring in fashion journalism. I have big hopes of being part of the fascinating fashion world that keeps evolving every day and someday make my mark in it.
First of all, I’m very excited to be moving to Boston for my academic years. I’ve lived in Miami, Fl. my whole life and I cannot wait to finally experience all four seasons. Being able to dress in big coats, warm sweaters, comfy boots and long scarves is something I’ve always looked forward to do and now I have the chance to! I believe that what you wear is something that truly expresses the type of person you are, whether you have more of a preppy look, bohemian or classic style. I would say my style is very classic. I stick to four basic colors: white, black, gray and sometimes beige.
As a child, my favorite thing to do was to play dress up. Not only would I dress myself up head to toe in my mother’s clothes and heels, but I would also doll my friends up. Heels, red lipstick and cheetah print shirts—I was in heaven! Having been in the modeling industry since I was 15 years old has broadened my knowledge about different ways that fashion partakes in our everyday lives. Shooting different styles every other day inspired me to project my style to the world.
