Hello there! My name is Ashleigh. I am a student at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in downtown Los Angeles. I have my associates degree in Merchandise Marketing and am currently a senior in my Business Management program. *Cue happy dance.* A lot of happy dances. This is my third semester as a style guru. I am excited to be returning this semester especially because it is my favorite season, for many reasons, including fall fashion! (Anyone else with me on that?!)
I moved to Los Angeles almost three years ago from Maryland for school and different opportunities to grow my career. I love all of the diverse aspects of the fashion industry from styling and trend forecasting to the editorial side and social media. I am infatuated with the various sides of the industry. I want to continue to explore the many layers of it.
Now for the fun stuff; just so you guys can get a little snippet of my sense of style. My style changes all the time based on the mood I am in and phase of life I am going through. I truly believe that we shouldn’t take fashion too seriously and to use it as a form of self-expression. I love experimenting with different trends and styles. That is a huge part of why fashion is fun; you can change it everyday! Or for some of us, multiple times a day.
I am currently reaching for textured slip on shoes, cropped jeans, satin anything and everything, moto jackets and velvet. My current style icons are Olivia Palermo, Blake Lively and Chiara Ferragni. My go-to outfit consists of solid staple items paired with funky and wilder accessories. I can’t wait to share the different trends I love and spot this semester with you guys!
