Hi Fashionistas/os! My name is Ashley Freedman and as I start my junior year at SUNY Oneonta, I’m excited to be a part of the CollegeFashionista team. I am studying Fashion Merchandising as part of a program that consists of three years at Oneonta and my final and fourth year studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology. As I grew up, my love for fashion grew and I always knew I wanted to work in the fashion industry.
Being brought up on the North Shore of Long Island, I’ve been exposed to every designer clothing, shoe and handbag. that you can imagine. Whether I’m spending my nights in New York City or the weekends in the Hamptons, my style can vary. I love to shop no matter where I am! Some of my favorite stores are LF, lululemon, Urban Outfitters and small local boutiques here on Long Island, such as Ruby and Jenna.
Staying active and fit is really important to me, so why not look good while doing it? Wearing your favorite lululemon outfit to the gym as a way to express yourself while working out can be a unique way to make a statement. I like to make each outfit my own. I tied my workout top in a knot to give the outfit more edge. Also, wearing these printed leggings instead of plain black gives this outfit a pop.
