Hello Fashionistas/os. My name is Audrey Wiryawan, also known as Audrey, and this is my first time writing for CollegeFashionista! I’m currently studying Fashion Design at Kent State University. Most of the time you’ll find me in the fashion studio, curled up with my projects. But when I’m not doing that, I’ll be in my room watching Monk with an apple and peanut butter in either of my hands.
Growing up in an Asian country, Indonesia, made me become unfamiliar to the exposure of the snow and wind. We only have two seasons: summer and rainy, so winter is surely a different kind of weather for me. But one thing that I love is to drink my Starbucks in the midst of cold while listening to Nat King Cole’s warm Christmas songs.
Back in high school, I never was the nifty person, rather, I was the masculine one. Most of the time I would wear oversized T-shirts with basketball shorts and finished with a ponytail that decorates the top of my head. On rare occasion you would see me in jeans and flannels. Fashion was not in any way a bother for me since I only consider the comfort of that second skin rather than the look.
My view started to change after I came here, I started to tend my look. Now, I’m one of those people that can sit and stare at my clothes, trying them on and changing them a couple of times before eventually ended up with the first outfit I tried on. Contrary to the past, now I want to make sure that I look well kept up!
No one style can define me because I convey my diverse personality within my closet. To start of the array of style that I have, I choose to pair a brown suede top with leather skirt and a nice warm pair of tights then accessorize it with a conspicuous customized clutch. I purposely want to make this outfit a bit eye-catching but still very casual, thus I pair it with a pair of simple black Nike sneakers.
Moving forward, I’m eager and can’t wait to share what I have up on my sleeve. So keep your eyes peeled for my upcoming posts!
