STYLE GURU BIO: Audrina Shriver

Hello everyone!  My name is Audrina and I’m excited to be starting my first semester as a Style Guru here.  I’m 20 years old and beginning my junior year at Albright College, double majoring in fashion merchandising and business administration.

Fashion has always been my biggest obsession (although many would tell you my love for bunny rabbits takes the cake).  My parents say that I spent my entire childhood dressing my massive Barbie collection and sketching designs, so it’s only natural that I want to make a career out of it.  Hopefully one day I will reach my goal of becoming a fashion buyer, but until then, I will continue to spend my days studying, working part-time as an administrative assistant, and obsessively watching The Golden Girls.

One word to describe my wardrobe would be monochromatic. Nothing makes me feel happier or more comfortable than varying shades of black, white or grey. Besides just color, my clothes are also greatly influenced by menswear. In fact, I buy most of my clothing from the men’s department. I love the clean lines, muted color palettes and the functionality of the designs.

For the look pictured, I wore what makes me feel my best; layers of black. The asymmetrical cut and chunky zipper of the jacket gives it some much-needed interest. To add a little bit of color to this outfit I paired it with a yellow, black and white Proenza Schouler shoulder bag.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little bit better, and I can’t wait to share all of my great style finds on campus with all of you!
