Hi friends! I cannot believe that I have been with CollegeFashionista for an entire year. Hooray for anniversaries! Writing about trends in the Pepperdine world has been such a treat. I have loved being able to combine my love of people with my love of fashion.
For those of you who don’t know me, I am a junior at Pepperdine University who is in constant pursuit of glamour and fun. Regardless of my surroundings, a pair of heels will always be on my feet. I am studying to get a degree in Integrated Marketing Communications, hoping to land a career that incorporates fashion, event planning or advertising. I love spending time with friends, whether we are getting coffee or just making a day trip to Target (the Valley is not that close to Malibu, my friends).
Writing for CollegeFashionista allows me to combine my two loves and live the glamorous life I want. Meeting up with friends for photo shoots, wearing cute clothes and drinking iced coffees while location scouting made this past summer quite memorable. It helped me realize my love for others and showed me the kind of career I want. I love expressing myself creatively and fashion is the medium to do that.
This outfit is the perfect example of an everyday outfit for me (except for the fact that I’m not wearing heels). I found this unique midi dress at the store we all love to hate—Forever 21. Since it’s a statement piece, minimal accessorizing was needed. I paired the dress with nude flats and my go-to bag. My hair definitely adds to my signature look, as long, blonde hair makes a statement.
Yes, I tend to be overdressed in the beach town of Malibu, but that doesn’t stop me from wearing what I want. Be sure to always stay true to yourself and drink lots of coffee! Thanks for joining me on my adventure this semester.
