Hey there! My name is Bella and I’m a freshman at Virginia Tech. I am majoring in fashion merchandising and design, and on track to acquire a double major with marketing in the near future. It may seem cliché to say I’ve always had a passion for fashion, but no other term really describes it better! My mom has owned three boutiques, the first opening when I was six years old. Growing up with a mother in this business allowed me to realize how intriguing the inside of the fashion industry really is, and taking me to clothing markets in New York City and Atlanta only solidified my thoughts. I want to incorporate fashion in my career.
The best thing about fashion is that there are no rules that dictate what is right and what is wrong. One of the most distinguished ways to express yourself is through one’s appearance, and that is how I choose to show my personality to the world. With that being said, I could never categorize my style into one or two words. But overall, I would say I gravitate towards more trendy and boho clothing, while adding a little edge into my wardrobe. I always love finding ways to make a look unique.
In this fun getup I have pictured I took a light, bell-sleeved top with lace detailing and matched it with a pair of blue Henry & Belle jeans. To add an edgy twist, I incorporated dark accessories to the look. In this case I’m wearing black peep toe booties and a wrap-around black choker with bead detailing.
