Hello Fashionistas/os! My name is Bethany Durst and I am super excited to be returning this semester as a Style Guru! I’m entering my senior year this semester at Salisbury University on the beautiful eastern shores of Maryland. I am a member of Phi Mu sorority! I I am currently majoring in Communications with a minor in Business and am in the process of launching my own boutique.
My personal style is boho and preppy. I love Lilly Pulitzer and spend most of my summers covered in Lilly prints, but this fall I’ve been all for trying out the seventies styles and trends. I’ve been obsessing over suede, fringe and lace-ups; it’s practically my entire closet. I’m all for a great faux fur vest or camel colored chapel this winter!
Now let’s talk about this look; I layered a thick and cozy turtleneck knit sweater over one of my favorite suede dresses from Boohoo, and paired it with a pair of over-the-knee socks and lace up boots. This was one of the first times I’ve tried layering like this but I think it turned out really well and it was surprisingly more comfortable than I thought it would be. I’ve been trying to build more of a year-round wardrobe, so learning how to incorporate sleeveless dresses into my winter wardrobe through layering was like hitting the jackpot.
Thanks for reading and I am super excited for another great semester alongside the #RADest people ever!
