Hello, friends! I’m so excited to be back for another semester. For those of you just meeting me, some key things you need to know are that I’m a junior at DePaul University in Chicago majoring in public relations as well as the fact that I’m always up-to-date on the latest pop culture news and celebrity style trends. So don’t be surprised if I make celebrity outfit references in my posts! Fall is by far my favorite season (lifestyle and fashion-wise), and my mind is already full of ideas and trends that I can’t wait to share with you all. Combine that with all of the crazy cool outfit inspiration I came across while living in New York City this summer, and it’s pretty safe to say this is going to be my most creative semester yet!
As you can see in my photos, one trend I see myself carrying over into fall from the summer is the high-waisted black jean. I love these jeans because I can dress them down with a simple white tank top, as shown in the photos, or I can dress them up with a nice tank top and black blazer. I’ll definitely be doing the latter this fall because I’ll be doing a public relations internship, which often requires business-casual attire. Another one of my favorite pieces in my outfit is my black leather sandals. Even though the sole of the shoe is made of cork, the black leather makes it the perfect transitional sandal for those Indian summer days in the fall.
Fall can definitely be a tricky season to dress for at times since the weather tends to fluctuate a lot here in Chicago. That’s why I’ll be focusing on providing you with style advice every step of the way, from the warmer days in September, to the chillier ones in November. Although I love my sandals, I love sweaters and booties even more. Therefore, I look forward to not only wearing those pieces, but also providing you all with style advice for whatever crazy weather this fall brings us!
