Hello, Fashionista/os! I am thrilled to be starting my first semester with the CollegeFashionista team. I’m a second year Journalism student minoring in video production at Columbia College Chicago.
From Chicago, Illinois, I love looking at different fashion trends going on around the city. Living in a city with such cultured individuals, it is almost impossible to go a day without spotting people flaunting their own individual style. Not only can the fashion sense be seen on the streets of Chicago, but also in the music scene as well. Hitting up the local restaurants around the south loop and the rest of downtown Chicago will help you find many hipster/bohemin individuals.
When I was little, I enjoyed going shopping with my mother and aunt. This is how I first discovered fashion sense. I used to spend hours playing dress up, and I am excited to be a part of an organization that recognizes those who play dress up on the daily.
I don’t subscribe to any particular fashion designer I look at the current styles and adapt to what makes me comfortable yet stylish. People and society set the trends which are constantly evolving.
I enjoy capturing photos of people in their own personal style. I hope to bring you more in-depth articles on the trends and individuals on Columbia College Chicago’s campus. I look forward to showcasing all the great looks my school has to offer.
