Hello, my name is Blakely Mus, I am 21 years old, and I am one of the newest Style Gurus for CollegeFashionista. To tell you a little bit about myself, I was born in Birmingham, Alabama and spent most of my adolescent years there. My family moved to Florida for a short period of time when I was in high school, then it was back to Alabama to finish out my senior year. Upon graduation, I began college at Florida State University (Go Noles!). I am now entering the second semester of my junior year, studying retail merchandising and product development.
As I enter this coming spring semester, I am excited to say that I will be spending it in London where I will be studying abroad. As we all know, London is one of the largest fashion hubs in the world. I am thrilled to learn and discover as much as I possibly can to help me develop into the fashion forward Style Guru I know I can be. I hope to bring all that I learn throughout my time overseas back to Florida State University to finish out my senior year with some inspiration and a better outlook of what is to come after graduation.
When I think about a career in fashion, I picture a fashion wonderland full of inspiring people with aspirations much like my own, constantly encouraging me and challenging me to do what it is I’ve always longed to do. It is not certain which end of the fashion world I will end up in, whether it be merchandising, designing or even marketing; however, just being in a creative environment would have a lasting impact on me, as I hope to aspire others through fashion.
