Hi Fashionistas/os! My name is Brandy Durst and I am super exited to be a part of the CollegeFashionista team. I am a going into my third year at Salisbury University with a major in communications focusing on public relations. I am currently residing in my historic hometown of Frederick, Maryland for the summer and love that I can enjoy the beautiful Sugarloaf Mountains or go to the beach if the weather is nice.
Other than fashion, I enjoy traveling and almost everything outdoors but when I am inside, binge-watching shows on Netflix, cooking and taking pictures of my rescue puppy fill my spare time. Photography has my heart and I love being able to capture and share my view of the world through pictures.
My fashion style really depends on the mood I am in. I adore being preppy and wearing floral, Vineyard Vines or Lilly Pulitzer dresses to go to brunch, but I also love being able to dress grungy in jeans, a bralette and a ripped T-shirt.
For this look, you may not be able to tell but the shirt I am wearing is actually a dress rolled up to look like a T-shirt, isn’t that neat? I decided to pair this basic horizontal red-striped top with a pair of light cargo shorts and a comfy denim jacket. To finish off my outfit, IÂ wore my favorite pair of comfortable Sperry Top-Siders shoes and my sunglasses were an absolute must-have on that sunny day. I love being able to take color palettes from nature and infuse them into my everyday wear.
