Hey all! Let me start off by introducing myself: My name is Brenna Sherlock. I am a fashion enthusiast attending Molloy College in Rockville Centre, New York. I study accounting and music (with a focus on voice), but almost all of the time I’m creating outfits in my head, sketching designs or simply following my favorite Instagram bloggers!
My favorite thing to do is style outfits that feature different decades. I mean, who doesn’t want to feel like Cher Horowitz, channel a little Brigitte Bardot or even dress like Audrey Hepburn?  It is so exciting to see the outfit you’ve been planning come to life! I have to say my mother and I are in this together. She is just as passionate about styling as I am. We both love coming up with an idea for an outfit, and then looking in different stores and shops, to put the pieces together. I wouldn’t say I have one specific style. I would say everything I wear has a trend, but not necessarily the same one. I definitely dress for the occasion and love to take risks others might shy away from. What I do love about fashion is that there are styles that are trending, and then there is “style.” A person’s style can be whatever they want it to be. There are no rights or wrongs when it comes to personal style. That is why fashion is such a beautiful art form.
When I’m not in class, or focusing on what I’m going to wear next, I am either with friends, driving to the beach, drawing or even traveling. In any case, I’m most definitely eating and listening to music. Music is definitely a huge part of my life that I am forever grateful for. I am not partial to any one genre. I can appreciate good music when I hear it. I also love pop culture and staying up-to-date with what is going on around the world.
Due to the fact that I’m not studying fashion (inside the classroom at least), I am looking forward to staying connected to the world of fashion as a Style Guru. This is going to be a RAD semester!
