Hello, Fashionistas! My name is Bria Blossom and I am currently a senior at Florida State University double-majoring in Marketing and Applied Economics. As my time here at Florida State comes to an end, there is no better way to top-off these last four years than by contributing to CollegeFashionista. During my time at Florida State, I have always tried to be involved in fashion and retail based organizations as much as I could to truly immerse myself into the industry. Currently, I am a Styling Director for CLUTCH Magazine and I have previously served as Vice-President of Black Retail Action Group on campus.
For as long as I can remember, my style has been an essential part of what has made me who I am. Growing up, I was always shy and quiet, but fashion was always my way to make a statement and stand out without having to say anything. Nowadays, I am not so shy anymore, and my love for fashion has remained a constant. When it comes to my personal style today, my motto is: go bold or go home. I have an affinity for bold accessories like statement necklaces and ear cuffs, bright prints, big patterns and anything gold.
I was born and raised in Orlando, Florida which really shaped my fashion sense. The best part about growing up in Orlando (besides always being only a short drive from Disney World) is that since the city is a popular tourist destination, it becomes such a melting pot. Living there has given me the chance to have fashion influences from all around the world by seeing so many different cultures and styles on a day-to-day basis.
I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of a community as diverse and dynamic as CollegeFashionista this semester. I cannot wait to start sharing the unique styles from around this beautiful campus with you all this fall!
