Hi there! My name is Bria. I am a junior studying journalism and mass communications, with a concentration in public relations, at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. My main interests have always been in photography, interior design, and fashion! Since I was young, I’ve always had my own style that only “worked for me.” To be able to express my greatest fashion creations along with inspiration from others as an intern for CollegeFashionista, is an honor.
After being in a uniformed school as a child, when I attended high school, I realized it was time to step outside of my comfort zone. This is where I established my own style. People have always told me, “You have a unique sense of style. I wouldn’t wear that or put that together, but it works for you!” At first I, didn’t know how to receive that comment, but I decided to always take it as a compliment! I’ve discovered that my best outfits come from me wearing what I feel that day, regardless of whether it matches or not. As long as it fits my vision for the day, I’m walking out the door in confidence. I also feel that it’s not a necessity to stay committed to one style. Many times, my friends will ask me, “Bria, who are you today?” My style can range from edgy, preppy, sophisticated, retro, you name it! The looks I go for always vary and are uniquely versatile.
For this specific look, It was rather simple yet detailed. I took a Christian graphic baseball T-shirt, combined it with a black leather skirt, and added chunky black platform boots. The detail comes in with the black lace tights, burgundy socks, burgundy and pink floral print scarf, and pink ombré lip color for a pop. For the final touches with the accessories, I added big silver hoops, a silver Paris themed watch, and three of my favorite rings for hand action.
